(Murder Mistaken)
by Janet Green
Performance Aborted |
| The archives indicate that this
performance, due to be staged in the Autumn of 1985, was
aborted. At this stage I have not discovered why this might have been, nor can I
find any evidence of any play having been performed in its place. We
still have a copy of
the script so who knows? Maybe we'll come back to it
at some point. Perhaps it was just too much
to ask anybody to answer to the name of
"Edward Bare." |

Synopsis
Edward Bare, the young estate agent's clerk,
has married for money and murders for money. It is easy enough to
ply his ageing and affectionate wife with whisky and cause her
"accidental" death by gas-poisoning, but there is an unpleasant
surprise awaiting him in her will. Who will be his next victim: his
ex-barmaid second wife, or Charlotte, the attractive visitor whose
real identity is one of the play's brilliant theatrical
surprises? |
